Recently, the Center of Sino-foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education announced the list of international Chinese education research projects in 2022. Four projects have been established in Fujian Normal University (FJNU) including two key projects, one general project, and one youth project, ranking first among universities in Fujian province.
It is reported that the International Chinese education research project, an annual and ministry-level science and research project, is based on the education reality and facing its staff across the world. As one of the most authoritative and influential science and research projects in this field, it aims to strengthen basic theory and applied research in areas related to international Chinese education, and to build a friendly and cooperative platform for promoting Sino-foreign language exchange and cooperation as well as mutual learning and reference among diverse cultures in the world. The projects established in FJNU will help it to highlight the characteristics of relating to Taiwan people and overseas Chinese and deepen the study of international Chinese education.
