The 18th International Conference of CANS 2019 Held by College of Mathematics and Informatics of FNU

The 18th International Conference on Cryptology and Network Security (CANS 2019) was held in Fuzhou from October 25 to 27. The conference was undertaken by College of Mathematics and Informatics of FNU and Key Laboratory of Network Security and Cryptology Technology of Fujian Province. About 120 experts and scholars from home and abroad attended the meeting. They were from China, America, France, Singapore, Australia, Japan, South Korea and India. Lai Hairong, vice president of FNU, addressed the opening ceremony.

Four eminent experts on cryptology and network security were invited to give a report at the conference. They were Professor Yvo G. Desmedt from University of Texas, America, Professor Wang Huaxiong from Nangyang Technological University, Singapore, Professor NTT Masayuki Abe from Japan and Doctor Chen Rongmao from National University of Defense Technology, China. During the conference, present participants had sufficient exchange and discussion on hot issues in the field of cryptology and network security, like block chain, cloud security, lattice based cryptography, homomorphic encryption, post-quantum cryptography, searchable encryption, machine learning and big data security.
