Consultant of Administrative Affairs Bill Sharar from Pittsburgh State University Visits FNU

On June 13th, Pittsburgh State University (PSU) Consultant of Administrative Affairs Bill Sharar, and Director of the Office of International Programs Aaron Hurt and their delegation visited our university. Chen Qinghua, Vice President of FNU, met with the guests, and heads from the Teaching Affairs Office, the International Office, and the College of Education attended the meeting.

Chen Qinghua extended welcome to Bill Sharar and his delegation and commended the efforts made by both sides to overcome obstacles and practically advance cooperation in programs. He hoped that both parties will further leverage their educational advantages, closely collaborate, and promote the student joint training program with high standards. Simultaneously, he hoped the two sides will expand and deepen cooperation in order to add new vitality for promoting the quality development of both universities. Bill Sharar stated that PSU has attached great importance to collaborative education and hoped that both sides will be able to integrate their respective disciplinary advantages, unique educational features, and high-caliber faculty, strengthen communication, and make concerted efforts to promote the sustainable and sound development of the collaborative education program and actively build a China-US collaborative education brand.

During the visit, the delegation toured our campus, the teaching and administrative areas of the China-US cooperative education program, and student activity areas, and conducted teaching discussions with faculty and students from the College of Education.
