On November 20th, the fourteenth lecture of season four of Aesthetics and Goodness: Master Lecture Hall of Drama and Film & Television and the 7th High-end Forum of the Film and Television Teaching Committee of Chinese College Association for Visual Art (CCAVA) was grandly held. The forum was co-sponsored by FNU, Ministry of Education's Drama and Film & Television Discipline Advisory Committee, the Film and Television Teaching Committee of CCAVA, Fujian Media Group and Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone. It was co-organized by School of Communication of FNU, Fujian Straits Satellite TV, Southeast Satellite TV, the Propaganda and Film and Television Development Department of CPC Working Committee of Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, the Asian and Chinese Film Research Center of Beijing Normal University(BNU) and the Chinese Art Education Research Center of BNU. 3000 people attended this online video conference, which was broadcast live on the Bilibili website and Kuaishou platform.
Well-known experts and scholars in the field of film and television and principal of School of Communication of FNU participated in the academic forum online, including Hu Zhifeng, Director of the Academic Committee of CCACA and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Beijing Film Academy(BFA), Zhou Xing, Director of Ministry of Education's Drama and Film & Television Discipline Advisory Committee and Professor of School of Arts and Communication of BNU, Ding Yaping, President of CCACA and Researcher of Chinese National Academy of Arts, Wang Changping, President of FNU, Professor Yao Zheng, Professor Fan Zhizhong, Professor Xiang Zhongping, Professor Liu Jun, Professor Wang Hui, Professor Wang Jianguo, Professor Lu Wei.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhang Yan, secretary-general of Ministry of Education's Drama and Film & Television Discipline Advisory Committee and professor of School of Arts and Communication of BNU. Leaders of the organizers delivered speeches respectively. With a focus on three key phrases (Chinese characteristics, high quality, talent support) and three fusion (technology fusion, media fusion, culture fusion) and a look into the future trend of research, practice and education of film and television, Hu Zhifeng proposed to take the initiative to respond to the new environment, new challenges and new propositions of the development of film and television media art. Ding Yaping briefly introduced the history of the development of CCACA, hoping to further lead the direction of the national film and television discipline construction and teaching research through active academic interconnection. Wang Changping briefly introduced the development history and results of FNU and School of Communication of FNU. He believed that education is the main way to cultivate high-quality talents in the field of film and television, and is the core element of building a great country with film and socialist culture. He hoped that all the experts could give valuable opinions and suggestions on the construction of Drama and Film & Television Discipline in FNU in addition to in-depth discussions.
The theme forum was divided into two halves, which were hosted respectively by Professor Jia Xiuqing of Communication University of China and Associate Professor Wu Qingqing of FNU. Around the theme of New Situation of the Times, New Trends in Industry, New Innovations in Art: Chinese Film Re-climbing, the experts conducted in-depth discussions and presented forward-looking and constructive academic views on their respective research topics.
