Recently Professor Chen Daqin’s research team of College of Physics and Energy of FNU successfully got the nanocrystals of Nd3+: Na(Nd/Y)F4 embedded in inorganic glass, and finally achieved opposite display variations in near-infrared (NIR) luminescence and laser-induced temperature, which can be applied to multi-dimensional optical information encryption. Thanks to the effective protection of the glass, these nanocrystals exhibit superior light, heat and water stability. The work, titled Invisible NIR Spectral Imaging and Laser-induced Thermal Imaging of Na (Nd/Y)F4@Glass with Opposite Effect for Optical Security”, was published in Laser & Photonics Reviews. FNU is the first organization of the paper, with Wang Shaoxiong, a doctoral candidate of FNU and Zhu Jiwen, a master candidate of FNU, as the first authors, and Prof. Chen Daqin of FNU as the corresponding author. The work was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Natural Science Foundation of Fujian Province.
